Flood Risk

Willoughby has endured flooding from time to time. The Flood Action Group has done a considerable amount of work to reduce the risk of flooding occuring or if it does to reduce the volume as much as possible. A Flood Action Plan has been prepared along with an advice leaflet for residents. These documents can be found on the Parish Council website or clicking here.

There is a water level guage on the River Leam at Kites Hardwick which gives an indication of the likelihood of flooding. When the level is very high there is an increased risk of flooding upstream (Grandborough, Sawbridge, Willoughby) of the guage. The online version of the guage is provided below for convenience.
